The Super T Series® is a self-priming centrifugal pump from Gorman-Rupp, specifically designed for handling fluids containing solids. The pump is widely used for sewage, wastewater, sludge transfer, construction dewatering, and industrial applications such as steel and paper mills, food processing, mining, and power plants. Thanks to its self-priming design and large volute, the pump can be installed above the liquid being pumped and automatically re-primes in a completely open system without the need for suction or discharge check valves.
The Super T Series® is available in discharge sizes of 2″ (50 mm), 3″ (75 mm), 4″ (100 mm), 6″ (150 mm), 8″ (200 mm), and 10″ (250 mm). Depending on the model, the pump delivers a maximum flow of up to 3,400 GPM (774 m3/h) and a maximum head of up to 210′ (65 m, D/E versions). Actual performance depends on the selected version and configuration. Refer to the pump curves for the correct duty point.
Models of 4″ and larger in the A and C versions handle spherical solids up to 3″ (76 mm) in diameter through every critical area, including the recirculation port. The 2″ model (T2C) handles solids up to 1.5″ (38 mm). The D and E versions (high efficiency) handle solids up to 1.5″ (38 mm), and the F version (Eradicator Plus™) handles solids up to 2.25″ (57 mm), depending on the model.

The Eradicator Plus™ is designed for extreme-duty applications where cutting and shredding of debris is required, such as trash bags, wipes, hair, industrial by-products, and agricultural waste. It features a rugged continuous single-vane impeller constructed of G-R Hard Iron and an extra-thick wearplate with an oversized lacerating tooth. Available in 3″, 4″, and 6″ discharge sizes. Optional impellers and wearplates are available in 600 Bhn (Brinell) for maximum wear resistance.
The patented external shimless coverplate with pusher bolt capability allows easy adjustment of the clearance between the impeller and wearplate from outside the pump, without the need to realign belts, couplings, or other drive components. The seal assembly and impeller back clearance are not disturbed during adjustment. A unique collar and adjusting screw allow for incremental adjustments, and once set, the collar locks in place — maintaining the clearance setting even if the coverplate is removed. This design feature doubles the life of the wearplate while maintaining peak operating efficiency.
The lightweight inspection cover with easy-grip handle provides direct access to the impeller for routine maintenance and clearing blockages, without disturbing the impeller-to-wearplate clearance. If a clog occurs, removing just two nuts with common hand tools provides quick access to the obstruction. After debris removal, the pump can be returned to operation immediately. The inspection cover is standard on 2″, 3″, 4″, 6″, and 8″ models.
The Super T Series® features an exclusive double-floating, self-aligning, oil-lubricated mechanical cartridge seal with stationary and rotating faces of silicon carbide or tungsten titanium carbide. This seal is specifically designed for abrasive and trash-handling service. An oversized seal oil chamber and seal oil monitor are standard. Additional seal configurations are available upon request.
The Super T Series® is available in Cast Iron, 316 Stainless Steel Fitted, CD4MCu, G-R Hard Iron Fitted, and G-R Hard Iron with Hard Iron Volute. G-R Hard Iron has a measured hardness in excess of 400 Bhn (Brinell) and extends pump life up to six times over standard cast iron or ductile iron components. G-R Hard Iron is available for the 3″, 4″, 6″, 8″, and 10″ models.
Yes. The seal, wearplate, and flap valve are all accessible through the shimless coverplate opening. If a clog occurs, the inspection cover provides quick access to the impeller without resetting the wearplate-to-impeller clearance. Additionally, the entire rotating assembly can be removed without disturbing the pump volute or piping — pusher bolt holes are provided to assist with removal. This allows for quick installation of a spare rotating assembly. All Super T Series models can be coupled to a standard IEC motor.
The Super T Series® is available in multiple configurations: close-coupled, V-belt driven, engine driven, and sound-attenuated engine driven. The pump is also available as part of a ReliaSource® packaged pumping station. Optional accessories include the Eradicator®/Eradicator Plus™ system, volute casing heater, automatic air release valve, discharge check valve, wheel kit, and various seal options.

The Super T Series® is primarily designed for maximum solid handling capability (up to 3″ / 76 mm spherical solids) and is available with the Eradicator® and Eradicator Plus™ systems for the most demanding solids-handling applications. The Super U Series® is optimized for high efficiency (up to 75%) with a multi-vane open impeller, handling solids up to 1¼” (32 mm). The B version of the Super U Series® is dimensionally interchangeable with the Super T Series®, allowing a change between the two without modifying the piping.
Yes. Thanks to its self-priming design, the Super T Series® can be installed above ground in dry-installed pump stations. This simplifies maintenance, inspection, and monitoring, and eliminates the need for maintenance personnel to enter confined spaces. The Super T Series® is also available as part of a ReliaSource® modular pumping station with a self-cleaning sump system, pre-assembled and factory-tested.
